The Institute of Geosciences holds courses in Geology, Integral Geography and Nocturnal Geography, the aim of which is to train professors capable of making a critical and creative contribution to the economic and social development of Brazil. These courses were created in 1997 and implemented in 1998 on the enrollment of the first group. The courses administered are Geology (bachelor´s degree) and Geography (bachelor´s and licentiate degree).
