The present work analyzes territorial vulnerability in Haiti, highlighting the environmental, political, and social crises responsible for most of the population's spatial weakening and precarious assistance structures. Due to its natural geography and the historical particularities of its socio-spatial formation, the Haitian territory is one of the most vulnerable in Latin America and the world. Reasons for such a situation include the harmful effects of natural geological and climatic events and external interventions in the Haitian economy and politics. Precarious socioeconomic conditions stem from decades of political instability and a fragile productive structure subordinated to international plundering interests. These interests were responsible for amplifying problems after the earthquakes and tropical storms that affected the country in the first two decades of the 21st century, revealing low territorial resilience and high vulnerability. To support this discussion, an extensive bibliographic survey was carried out around the main concepts permeating this work, using journalistic texts, official government data, United Nations reports, and institutional collections.
